Markéta Hrubešová at ALTOS clinic
The first meeting with Ms. Hrubešová at our clinic was very pleasant. She appreciated our individual approach and modern environment. On another occasion, we asked her several questions.
What is your life motto?
What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.
How do you take care of yourself? Do you have an elixir for the youth and freshness that you radiate?
Thank you for the compliment. I believe it’s very important what you have inside. How you approach life also shows a lot. You can tell if you are at peace with yourself, simply if you love yourself—in a good way, of course. And a smile is extremely important. It’s literally a miraculous lift. You’d be surprised how many people are happy to return it.
During our last meeting, we talked about aesthetic medicine; how do you view all these rejuvenation methods? Would you consider undergoing any treatments?
I think it’s a personal matter for everyone. If such a procedure helps someone with their complexes or troubles, then that’s great. Every woman should take care of herself, and some simply prefer it this way. I’m not considering it at the moment. Since childhood, I’ve been surrounded by women for whom age was just a number. For now, I’m fine with quality creams and sleep.
When you have a craving for something sweet or unhealthy, do you resist?
I have the advantage that I hardly eat sweets. When I’m really tired, I might have a piece of good dark chocolate. But I much prefer meat and fish. As for unhealthy things, you can’t really say what’s healthy and what’s not. It always comes down to quantity. But of course, sometimes I indulge a little. But that’s just so sexy…
Where do you recharge your energy?
For me, sleep is the most important. It works for everything—bad mood, sadness, and it’s the best remedy for fatigue. Good food and drinks also play a big role in my life and can really “kickstart” me. I also like to go for a massage, and when I win my battle against laziness, I go to work out at a ladies’ gym.
Your plans for the upcoming summer season?
I am shooting a series for TV NOVA, and I have another shoot coming up for Prima. I also filmed a movie called Milada, which is about Milada Horáková. At the end of the month, I’m flying to Budapest to shoot the fourth season of Recipes for Joy. I’m acting in a theater and must not forget about my cooking shows at food festivals, which I’m really looking forward to.
What always makes you happy?
I find joy in little things. A returned smile, which I mentioned at the beginning, good coffee, a well-cooked meal… But of course, my greatest joy comes when I’m with my family.
