Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to stimulate the natural production of collagen and elastin in the skin, improving its texture and appearance.
In ALTOS clinic, we offer both classic microneedling and anti-fibrotic microneedling, which focuses on the specific needs of skin suffering from excessive fibrosis (scarring).
Microneedling is an elegant and highly effective method for rejuvenating, firming, and smoothing the skin. This technique utilizes the skin’s self-renewal abilities and is effective in smoothing fine wrinkles, treating scars, stretch marks, acne and hyperpigmentation, making it suitable for sensitive skin as well. In contrast, anti-fibrotic microneedling targets acne scars, hypertrophic scars and other fibrotic changes in the skin, helping to reduce excess collagen production and soften the skin’s surface.
During microneedling tiny channels are created in the subcutaneous tissue, allowing for faster absorption of active nutrients and serums. This method is ideal for anti-aging treatments, improving skin toning, brightening, and hydration. Microneedling is most commonly applied to the entire face, including the delicate area around eyes, hands and décolleté.
Thanks to microneedling and anti-fibrotic microneedling it is possible to effectively eliminate dry skin, loss of color and firmness, wrinkles, scars, and post-acne spots, stretch marks, enlarged pores, and dull, uneven skin tone. It is recommended to undergo 3 to 4 treatments at approximately two-week intervals.

How the treatment is performed
The facial treatment lasts approximately 30 minutes. The applicator with microneedles is precisely set according to the requirements of each skin type, with penetration depths ranging from 0.25 to 2.5 mm.
The microneedles are very thin and the skin is treated with an anesthetic cream beforehand, making the procedure tolerable. Depending on the depth of wrinkles, scars or other skin issues, multiple sessions can be required to achieve the best results.
The result of the procedure is complete skin revitalization with a rejuvenating effect and improved appearance.
Before the procedure
No special preparation is necessary.
After the procedure
After the treatment, the skin is red and more sensitive for about 24 hours, followed by gradual renewal and regeneration.
