SmartXide2 is the result of advanced development of the RF CO₂ laser source and is equipped with unique PSD® (Pulse Shape Design) technology.
The laser utilizes the synergistic effects of CO₂ laser and radiofrequency (RF) waves, allowing it to effectively penetrate all layers of the skin. The SmartXide2 DOT/RF technology allows for the customization of all operational parameters and treatment modulation to meet the specific needs of individual patients, ensuring optimal results in accordance with the properties and target tissues of the skin.
The SmartXide Dot laser targets water in the dermis, which is the supportive layer of the skin containing most of the collagen. The laser removes tissue within dots, with each dot surrounded by a space that allows for thermal tissue damage. This thermal damage is key to achieving excellent results. The SmartXide Dot laser is set for various treatment types with maximum benefits for the patient; surface issues like pigment disorders and mild wrinkles are treated closely together, while deeper problems like scars and more pronounced skin folds require greater distances between dots and longer time intervals.
The contraction of collagen due to thermal damage immediately tightens the skin. Notably, about a month after treatment, there is further improvement in skin firmness and collagen density, which can last up to a year due to the collagen remodeling process. The SmartXide2 DOT/RF technology also eliminates the risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH), ensuring the safety and effectiveness of the treatment.
Before the procedure
Before each procedure a professional consultation with a doctor takes place. It is essential to determine which method is appropriate and how many sessions are needed for the removal of scars or stretch marks.
After the procedure
After the laser procedure the patient may experience a burning sensation and the treated area can become red; these symptoms typically fade within three days. The scar will gradually fade over time, becoming less noticeable. It is always important to protect the skin from sun exposure for at least three months after the procedure and to use creams with a high protection factor. In many cases, for optimal results, the procedure needs to be repeated three times or combined with other treatments.
