We use top-quality certified lasers for hair removal
ALTOS clinic uses the most modern lasers for hair removal, carefully selected for maximum efficiency and comfort. We provide top-notch care focused not only on hair removal but also on preventing irritation and ingrown hairs.
Alexandritový laser DEKA Motus Moveo AX
The company DEKA was the first in the world in developing of high-speed alexandrite laser with the latest patented MOVEO motion technology! Our DEKA Motus AX device is designed for maximum efficiency, comfort, and speed in hair removal. We are the only exclusive partner in the Czech Republic offering this revolutionary device.
The Motus AX combines alexandrite and diode lasers, allowing for effective treatment of all skin types, including tanned skin. The main advantages of this technology are completely painless epilation and high speed of the procedure. For example, treating an area of 10×10 cm takes only 25 seconds!
Diode Laser LightSheer DUET
The LightSheer DUET is an innovative American diode laser that utilizes unique vacuum acceleration technology. Thanks to its vacuum attachment with a wide surface area, the speed and painlessness of the procedure are significantly increased.
This method allows treatment of all skin types, made possible by the gentle vacuum technique. The vacuum not only pulls the hair roots for effective treatment but also reduces the density of melanin in the skin, concentrating the overall light energy solely on the hair. This enhances both the safety and effectiveness of the procedure.
In addition to destroying “active” roots, there is also a weakening of so-called dormant roots. After just 2–3 sessions, the structure of the hair changes, resulting in thinner and lighter hairs. The optimal time between treatments is approximately 4 weeks.

Suitable for all skin types
Thanks to advanced technology, epilation lasers are suitable for all skin types, including tanned skin.
What do you need to know before laser epilation?
- Laser epilation should be repeated 5–8 times at intervals of 4–5 weeks. The necessary number of sessions and intervals may vary depending on your individual characteristics and hair growth needs
- In 2–3 weeks before the procedure, it is not advisable to pluck hairs with tweezers, remove them with cream, wax, or electroepilation
- Hairs must be shaved 1–2 days before laser epilation
- It is necessary to refrain from sunbathing, including visits to tanning salons and self-tanning creams, for about 2 weeks before the procedure itself
How does laser epilation work?
Laser epilation with an alexandrite laser heralds a new era in hair removal. The treatment is quick, painless, and utilizes an integrated cooling system. The action of the laser is based on the principle of selective photothermolysis. The light wave is absorbed by the specific hair pigment – melanin. When light energy is converted into heat, the hair follicle is heated. The high temperature destroys the growth area of the hair and the vessels that supply the hair follicle. Residual heat spreads to the surrounding tissues without side effects.
In the case of using a diode laser, it is possible to treat light and fine hairs, with results that are permanent. Laser epilation essentially means that the laser beam is absorbed by the pigment of the hair bulb. At this point, the laser energy is converted into heat, destroying the bulb. However, hairs are only definitively destroyed during the growth phase.
How many sessions do I need for complete hair removal?
The sensitivity of hair follicles depends on the phototype, hair color, and individual skin characteristics. The exact number of sessions cannot be definitively predicted; some clients need 6–8 visits for hair follicles to be removed, while others may require more repetitions.
According to observations from leading cosmetologists at our beauty center, there are correlations between the areas treated and the number of procedures performed. On average, for complete hair removal, you will need: armpits: 5–6 sessions; legs: 5–7 procedures; bikini area: 7–9 laser treatments.
What does the result and interval between sessions depend on?
The frequency of visits is influenced by the natural thickness of the client’s skin, hair color, and the hormonal activity of the patient.
How does an alexandrite laser differ from a diode laser?
The differences are mainly in the wavelength. According to the wavelength, there is a different effect on various depths of the dermis, where hair follicles are located. The wavelength of diode lasers ranges from 810 to 940 nm. Alexandrite lasers have a wavelength of 755 to 1064 nm.
With diode lasers, the power of the laser pulse is lower than with alexandrite lasers, so the number of procedures needed to achieve an effective and lasting result of epilation will be greater than with the alexandrite laser.
How does photoepilation differ from laser epilation?
Hair removal with the IPL method reduces hair growth but does not permanently remove it. After using this method there may be swelling, redness of the skin, or hyperpigmentation. A greater number of repetitions is also required.
Laser epilation using alexandrite or diode allows for a fixed wavelength to be set, enabling the selection of the ideal beam length for optimal absorption by melanin (without damaging the skin). The advantages of laser epilation include absolute safety, precision, and effectiveness.
Do you perform laser epilation on light hairs?
For light hairs we use the LightSheer Duet laser. However, we always recommend consulting with a specialist before treatment to assess whether the procedure is suitable for you.
Are there any restrictions after epilation?
After laser hair removal, there are practically no restrictions. In some cases, slight redness of the skin may appear, but it only lasts for a short time. Be cautious with sun exposure; it is necessary to use high-quality sunscreen with a high SPF factor and avoid sunbathing for 2 weeks after the treatment.
How painless is laser epilation?
Thanks to integrated cooling, laser epilation is truly painless.
Why is laser epilation better than other hair removal methods?
Laser epilation using high-quality devices guarantees effective removal of unwanted hair. There is absolutely no irritation, itching, or ingrown hairs in contrast to waxing or shaving.
Is it possible to sunbathe in the summer and have epilation?
With us it is possible, but we do not recommend undergoing laser epilation if you plan to go to the sea or engage in excessive sun exposure, including sunbathing within 2 weeks after treatment. During these 2 weeks, we also do not recommend visiting tanning salons. It is advisable to protect the skin after epilation with sunscreens with at least SPF 50+.
Is it possible to have epilation during pregnancy?
It is one of the contraindications before laser epilation.
How long does the procedure take?
This always depends on the specific area; the upper lip can be treated in a few minutes, armpits in 30 minutes, and the whole legs may take up to 1.5 hours.
Is it necessary to care for the skin in a special way after laser epilation?
For about 2–3 days, it is advisable to use moisturizing creams.
What is the difference between epilation and depilation?
The difference is quite significant. Depilation removes hair only from the surface of the body, while epilation targets the hair follicles, making it more effective and longer-lasting.
Which areas can be epilated?
Laser epilation can be performed on almost the entire body, except areas with acute inflammation. The most demanded areas are the armpits, upper lip, intimate areas, and whole legs.
